The Vision & The Team

LAUNCH is the inspiration of the Holy Spirit!! Full obedience to this vision and idea was finally executed by "Coach Kuyper" in the summer of 2017! The heart behind its inception was a burdened one; too many cherished and chosen young women not grasping the true measure of their worth and beauty.  Identity not in social media, academic achievements, athletic talents or familial protection; but in Him, His purposes, His plan. How do we launch these amazing gals into the hard yet exciting years of secondary school? Moms and daughters - we will not position ourselves to be fearful, to isolate or to over-protect/ control. We position ourselves as Children of the Most High God, uniquely created, fearfully made, destined for His purposes. We listen to the voice of truth and freedom, not popular opinion or world views that dilute, distort or disdain the Word.  It's not judgment of the world; it's an active choice to live fully alive and victorious - if I have breath, I will be intentional in growing in my knowledge of who I am in Christ.

 

 

LAUNCH hopes to provide 4 days of intimacy with other young gals transitioning into this next step of life. We hike in GOD's creation, breathing in His very presence as we ascend the trail. No phones, no noise - just the crunching of dirt and rocks under our feet, the heavy breathing as we approach the steep areas, the laughter and light banter of voices of young gals sharing thoughts and stories. The "top" allows for a time of rest, snacks and a reflection moment! We integrate biblical truths into the hike as we delve into life discussions about fear, perseverance, risks, unknowns, joy, community and choices! 

 

Our Mountain Getaway to Frisco, CO, is always a highlight of the week. The drive, the pool and hot tub, the dinner prep, movie night and the morning devotion provide an amazing opportunity for an open and honest conversation about so many things on these young gals hearts and minds.  Our hike on LilyPad Lake trail is also quite amazing, as it winds through beautiful forest to a serene and calm pond. 

 

LAUNCH also includes some crafting, a bit of baking/cooking and the awesome card game, ONOPONOJO! Don't ask! It's a blast!
